Real leadership - Radical responsibility - Results that matter

Taking the Bullshit Out of Leadership is a direct, energetic and highly practical keynote for organisations that want better leadership, stronger cultures and improved results. It challenges the habits that undermine performance: blame, avoidance, empty promises, unclear expectations and ineffective communication and replaces them with honesty, ownership and action.

How compassionate leadership creates stronger, more successful organisations

Kindness in leadership is often seen as pink and fluffy, as a weakness or treated as a personal virtue, something completely separate from performance and profitability. In reality, it is one of the most powerful and underused drivers of trust, loyalty, collaboration and long-term business success.

The Wisdom of Kindness in Business is an engaging and practical keynote that challenges the belief that business must be hard-edged to be effective. It reveals how kindness, when combined with clarity, accountability and high standards, can transform workplace culture and improve the way people lead, communicate and work together.

Kindness is not about being soft, avoiding difficult conversations or lowering expectations. It is about recognising that people perform at their best when they feel respected, valued, heard and trusted.

Drawing on extensive leadership experience and a career dedicated to helping individuals, teams and organisations succeed, Gina provides a compelling business case for kindness. Showing how thoughtful, human leadership can strengthen relationships, improve morale and retention, unlock discretionary effort and create a culture where people want to contribute and succeed.

Gina shares an uplifting and memorable message with practical relevance for today’s workplace:

Kindness is not a weakness or an optional extra, it is a strategic advantage!

A keynote from the Co-founder and Vice Chair of Fatima’s UK Campaign

What does it take for a young person to feel truly seen, heard and valued?

In this moving and thought-provoking keynote, the Co-founder and Vice Chair of Fatima’s UK Campaign shares the purpose behind creating a charity dedicated to making a positive change to the care system in the UK.

Young people in care are often moved multiple times, adding further trauma, damaging their capacity to trust and create positive relationships and fracturing their education. 10,000 young people leave care in England each year. Within 2 years, a third of them are homeless.  Their life chances are significantly reduced across the board: health - both physical and mental health; they have a lower life expectancy than their peers. Their fractured educational experience impacts self-confidence, the development of life skills and employment opportunities.

Fatima’s UK Campaign aims to raise awareness about the challenges that care-experienced young people face, to work closely with organisations who are providing care and support to develop greater collaboration, and to engage with organisations who have not yet been involved with care-experienced young people (currently this last group have been prospective employers) to create holistic, wrap-around support.

Gina shares Fatima Whitbread MBE's story: she was abandoned as a baby and left to die. She spent the next 14 years of her life in care before being adopted by her javelin coach.  She went on to become World Champion and is an Olympic medalist. Having had a successful marketing and media career, Fatima is passionate about bringing about the much-needed change to the care system.

The talk combines lived experience, advocacy and practical action. It explores how we can help care-experienced young people build confidence, find opportunity and shape futures on their own terms.

Around 105,000 children and young people are in care in the UK. Each is an individual with their own story, ambitions and potential. This keynote invites audiences to look beyond the statistic—and consider what families, organisations, employers and communities can do to help young people thrive.

Audience Takeaways

  • A deeper understanding of the experiences and needs of care-experienced young people.

  • A compelling case for listening to young people and involving them in decisions that affect their lives.

  • Practical ideas for creating opportunities through skills, employment, mentoring and partnership.
